The art is quite nice.
I don't think the shading is what you should worry about, but the anatomy of the werewolf is a bit off. The back legs are quite long on him/her, the mid section of his/her body is a little bit too short, and his/her front legs could use a little more structure.

here are some examples: [link] ,[link], [link]

as for shading, it's quite nice but you CAN use it to create fur

the only thing I notice about the shading, is that it doesn't quite fit in with the picture, it it a bit off.. here is my example of shading ( applies to all things): [link], [link]
here are some of my examples for shading AND lighting: [link], [link], [link],

the tail is a little bit off as well, the examples (links) above show the tail along with the anatomy

you could also add more fur detail, he/she looks a bit hairless, try drawing more fur.. here is an example: [link]

you could also work on the facial snarl
example: [link]

don't feel bad, anatomy can take a lot to learn.. even I took years to learn how to draw wolves

overall, good work <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>.
